Introducing Our New CEO
“Camden is one of the most unique boroughs in London. It has some of the wealthiest areas in the UK as well as some of the most deprived. However, the uniqueness of Camden comes not from its division but from its history of social action and challenge to the status quo often led by its young people. Camden is special in that it has a huge number of creative and cultural institutions, as well as a vibrant voluntary and community sector. I look forward to leading Young Camden Foundation and having the opportunity to develop creative and innovative solutions to tackle some of these inequalities."
Keith grew up in New Addington, Croydon and started his career there as a Youth Worker. Keith graduated in 2010 from City University with a Masters in International Politics and Human Rights.
He has worked for Camden Council since 2014 and considers himself to be a bastion of Camden’s values – passion, determination, and inclusivity.
He has spent the last two years as the Head of the Cabinet Office, ensuring the effective incorporation of the Administration’s policy and emerging initiatives into strategic planning and delivery of Council services. Before that, he worked in the Council’s Strategy service, and led the development of a new integrated model of youth support service delivery based on identifying and offering support to young people with additional support needs as early as possible.
Keith likes to keep busy and on top of being a new father, he also works for the Charity Missing People, volunteers as a Community Referral Panel Member, and is Governor of St. Luke’s Primary School. When he isn’t doing all that, he can be found glued to the TV watching Arsenal.
Keith joins the team this November, so please do get in touch.
